The literary classic is being brought to life in a hysterical 45 minute production that your audiences will LOVE! Meet Eggbert, a duck who's struggling to find friends and acceptance because he's different. His sister Zelda is the self-proclaimed 'prettiest duck on the pond' is not interested in getting to know her different brother. Luckily for Eggbert, his loving mother and a hilarious crane (who's stuck in the 1980's--sure to have your adult patrons rolling over with laughter) accept him for who he is. Determined to change his sister from a foe to a friend, he finds a group of fellow birds (audience volunteers) and confronts Zelda. When he becomes a beautiful swan, he discovers he has transformed much more than just himself in the process. Packed with audience participation (young volunteers play the roles of a flamingo, chicken and turkey), loaded with plenty of fowl puns, and brimming with colorful costumes and scenic elements--we know you're gonna love this show! This year we are expanding our Summer Camp Program to libraries at an especially reduced rate. All camps are taught by professional actors with theatre education experience. Bright Star offers a variety of theatrical packages ranging from one-hour workshops and residencies to month long summer camps. We can customize a variety of our programs or work with you to develop the perfect event for your needs.
